Hopefully you have read part I in my series on Teen Pregnancy. This is such an important topic I have decided to keep it going and provide as much information as I can for now. You can read Part II in full at:

Parent’s I can urge you enough to take a stand here with your teens and make a “PACT” with them that this “Won’t” happen to your family. Believing that our teens are not going to be sexually active until they are married is not realistic. It is going to most likely happen, why not make sure they understand all the facts, from you their parent.

This IS such an important topic. Raising a teenager is a full-time job. Though they may not appear to listen to anything their parents say, the message is received.Unfortunately, your may trigger the opposite response. But the message has registered and will eventually be an important part of your child’s adult life. Cindy is providing such a valuable service to provide such sage advise. I have a neighbor whose 16 year old became pregnant, although the girl said it was only one time and they were protect. The, now 17-year-old girl has a toddler. She is SO lucky to have supportive parents, so she can finish high school and hopefully not end up as a statistic as an out of work mom or a young woman living in poverty. Talk as difficult as it is initially is far cheaper, and more valuable an investment, than turning away from the facts of life. I applaud Cindy for her valuable.
