Choices: Is Red Bull A Drug?

Please see the first 3 choices articles for more information on this series. Book 4 in the “Scenarios Series” by Nicole O’Dell entitled “Making Waves”, reflects once again on decision making for our teens.  In this book we meet Kate who is an excellent swimmer and joins the school team. Keeping up with all her practices, church committments and school work becomes too much for Kate. She turns to Red Bull to give her more energy. She makes a promise to stop drinking it when her mother finds out and tells her the dangers of it.  The day of the championship Kate is tired and dragging. Her friends offer her the “REAL” thing a speed pill.  Does Kate take it so that she can win the championship or does she do the right thing. 1. Red Bull can be a drug when used for the wrong purposes. Now, if she drinks this and wins- her true conscience will be tested. Do our kids have a conscience today? I question if they know what that is. Nice post.
